So I'm going to start by telling you a story.

I was five years old and holding my 3 year old sister's hand in a hospital waiting room. My dad was down on one knee explaining to me how my mother was dying and my brother was. She was giving birth to was also not going to survive.

I was still holding my sister's hand as she was sobbing beside me and I watched all the adults who were towering over us running frantically in and out of my mother's room. And I, however, was still because I knew not only was my mother going to survive, but

As the process of getting older goes, the material world stepped in and made me forget that stillness.
