Well, if you would like to share a little bit about sort of your your, I call it your spiritual journey doesn't have to be spiritual. But however you got to where you're wanting to create lifting lamp and share your knowledge with everybody else, that'd be cool.

Yeah. So I'll talk a bit about my spiritual journey, maybe from the start.

So I've always been spiritual, I guess as a kid.

There's my cat behind me.

Yeah. So I've always been spiritual, but I guess when I was 13.

I sort of had what I described as a past life memory.

And that kind of woke me up to some things I sort of saw that I had been.

Egypt before the Pharaohs had a very strong connection to an individual called Soth.

As in the the Egyptian God, who I insured had actually been a human being, a living master.

And so after I had that experience.

I did some.

Research into into Thoth into.

And I learnt about Hermes Trismegistus which I didn't know before was a was a figure in the occult.

Really interested in the Western esoteric tradition and kind of found it from there.

And when I was 17, I started to explore magic for the first time and just found it really empowering and knew that it was something.

Was always supposed to do.

And I say that I found magic, but it really found me.

I know a lot of people have a similar experience.

Yeah. And then I just.

I wanted to learn more and I joined a couple of orders over the years, so I've been in the auto template orientes.

The Argentine Astronomy Astron, which is kind of like the thalamic initiative for.

Order and then I kind of decided that.

That didn't really want to keep working the thalamic system so much because you know, I didn't really like Aleister Crowley as a person, and there are just some other.

For that.

And then I sort of explored Gnosticism a bit as well, and.

Yeah, just really interested in the initiatory path and and you know, particularly in Western esotericism and and now passing that on to other people. And that's the purpose.

I've kind of known for a while that I'm supposed to be like a spiritual teacher.

A lot of psychics have told.

That over the years.

And I didn't really know how to start with that for a long time.

And then you know during that interesting period that we all lived through from 2020 onwards for a few years, you know, I was at home a lot.

Had a lot of time to reflect and sort of decided, hey, I should start a YouTube channel that would.

Be you know the ideal.

For this, so I did it and created lifting the lamp and the rest is history I suppose.

You're sort of doing. Was your thought process around doing lifting the lamp was to kind of speak to more individual people that are kind of wanting the path instead of maybe joint who weren't maybe interested in joining an order or anything like that.

Was that sort of your goal or not really?

Well, I mean, yeah.

I guess it would be useful to to people who don't want to join an order as well.

To to have a way of finding that information, but you know it's it's out there for anyone who wants it. Really. You know, perhaps people are in some sort of order or group and they just want to kind of deepen their knowledge.

For them as well. And their benefit, yeah.

Did you have? In addition, I know you joined the different orders, but did you have any support or guidance either via an individual or any?

Any specific teachers along the way that.

I mean, most of my journey has been quite solitary and sort of a lot of self-taught sort of things, but there have been a few individuals along the way who have helped me.

You know, when I was in the A, A, the Argentine astrom, I had a superior as they called who was basically like my teacher and sort of somebody that I could have as a sounding board.

Mm.

For all you know, all of my own work that I was doing and and whether I was succeeding and getting where I needed to be, where I need to go.

With the different tasks, spiritual tasks that you get assigned in that order.

You know, I've had a raking.

I have a raking master as well as Reiki sort of one of the other things that I've explored.

Which I don't talk too much about.

Just more out of respect for the tradition, but yeah, that certainly has been eye opening. Having that teacher in my life.

And yeah, so there's.

A few little people who have.

Of come in along the way to help me.

Yeah, that is something that is really special about an order is to have somebody who's further along the path that you can bounce your experiences off of or ask questions so that that's really cool that you have that available.

Umm were there any? So I know books are a huge part of everybody's spiritual path where there's some big ones that.

That you can think of that you can share that were important to you.

Yeah, there's just so many.

But, but I will say like one thing that has been really helpful for me is in the A, A there is a a curriculum for each grade.

And so you get these massive book lists and massive reading lists to work through. And so.

There's a lot of stuff there that that gives you different practices that you can do.

There's some stuff in the student curriculum which is, you know, all of the classics of.

Hinduism and Buddhism and Taoism.

You know the punishers and.

The Tao teaching.

And the Bhagavad Gita? I guess those core texts.

That's more the kind of yoga and.

And sort of.

Taoism started things the Dumber party for Buddhism, core foundational text.

Those are all.

Of quite classical.

Yeah, but the yeah, the stuff from the A, A curriculum going through the tasks is very helpful I find.

Yeah. So the more recently I've I've been going to my local Theosophical Society library a lot and I find it's good, good place to find some other resources.

You know, from the founding members like Alice Bailey and.

Annie Bessant, who kind of, you know, had their own views of initiation and and what the different stages are and the path of initiation.

So a couple of books in particular that have helped me there are like.

The Labours of Hercules by Alice Bailey and also the masters by Annie Bessant, which talks about, you know, the masters in Theosophy, the Ascended Masters. But it's also describes the sort of.

Process of transformation that they had to go through spiritually to.

That stage.

So yeah, those are a few recommendations that I would give.

Yeah, I think that's something that's missing for a lot of people, either starting on that path is like, how do you know you're even on the path and like, what are some milestones? That's really, those are really good recommendations and.

Your experience with that, I know it's like a big experience, but curious about it.

Yeah. So what in particular would you like to know about about the whole Holy Ghost Angel experience?

Yeah, 'cause, I I think you know everybody, at least that I know in the magical community is very interested in it, right?

And what was your your approach? I guess to like sort of establishing an A connection to your Angel and then like what kind of happened after that?

Yeah. OK.

Yeah. So I kind of yeah, once again, because I was, I was working within the kind of a a type of initiatory path.

I I kind of.

I looked to those sort of examples of, you know, a holy guardian Angel, kind of.

So the book of Abraham Lincoln 8 and I kind of took elements of each and I sort of.

I did Sonic, but I took inspiration from those other rituals as well to sort of make it into something that was like my own sort of thing, and that would have been in about 2013.

And then I spent about six months.

Or invoking my Angel everyday using the ritual in Samic and.

Yeah, just just trying to meditate after each invocation and just communicate with my Angel in that way and and then at the end of that process as well. You know, there was sort of a few days where I kind of went through what I would describe as an.

Crisis.

Yeah.

You know where everything kind of started to lose its meaning, but then in the midst of that, that's where I kind of.

Felt the light of the Angel really sort of come in and and save me and and sort of give me a give me a feeling of joy and unity with everything that was kind of beyond this world and.

Didn't depend on the world and just was.

It was really beautiful.

And yeah, and So what?

That thing is that you contact.

Yeah, there's been a lot of debate about.

Yeah. And, you know, some people say is it the higher self.

Some people say it's something even more kind of abstract than that, like the Atman.

In in the Vedic traditions.

And I think you know, some people say it's a part of you. Some people say it's it's not.

A separate entity and.

Yeah, I think there's sort of elements of truth in each of those.

I think that it it starts off as something which reflects the kind of.

Higher aspects of yourself.

Which you don't identify with, and then you have to sort of integrate it. But.

Beyond.

There's sort of a deeper level to it where it.

Pure divinity, but it has to come to us wearing this mask.

Of the Angel.

And so that's kind of that's how I would describe it. But it is really hard to describe and you know people have probably got their own subjective experiences of it who who have worked with their own Angel, that might be different.

What happens after that?

So it's just kind of use as a tool here. So you know tip worth is where we attain knowledge and conversation with the Holy Guardian Angel and then the next stages above that you've got.

And so that's really representing the work after knowledge and conversation.

And if you look at the again like the tasks of those grades, you sort of get some interesting hints about what you might have to be doing.

So there's a lot of stuff to do with the path of justice or learning, you know, which is related to karma in my opinion.

And there's stuff about alchemy and inner transformation, so I think it's really about.

Taking your ordinary life and transforming it and transmuting it into something that is more like life, the Angel and kind of becoming more like the Angel yourself.

And then you know, and then people sometimes say that the Angel is like your future self and maybe.

Maybe that's kind of there's an element of truth to that, because you're ultimately trying to integrate that on the path.

And yeah, I think that's probably the next stage. And also just trying to keep in contact with that force with that deep inner divine part of our being and just strengthening that.

Strengthening that relationship.

Invoking it and having it having a chat, you know.

How do I get?

Maybe maybe it does happen for some people in a very literal way, but it can also happen with just being present in the moment and being called back to to pure presence and pure consciousness.

Actually felt that part of yourself for the first time.

Time to kind of like explain that kind of very strange and abstract concepts.

You got to kind of keep working at it and working at it.

And it's not like it's lost forever.

The Angel is always.

It's just like the ability to let.

Let that I don't know, become you or part of you.

It can be like lost in the connection is, you know you have to work at it again.

It, like a marriage. Gonna keep keep that relationship going.

But that, but that's something I've never heard anybody say.

I just haven't read it on my in the things I've looked at or read, so that was interesting.

Yeah. And it's, you know, some people when they're talking about losing their connection with the Angel, it's sort of it's sort of describing something different to that.

Sort of saying that your connection is severed and that's it.

Sort of lost.

And you can never contact the Angel again, but I don't.

I don't think that that ever happens, you know, because we're talking about divinity here and you know.

There's always the door is always open with with the divine if. If we're just willing to approach it no matter what.

Else has happened in life.

There's this sort of.

Period where not much is happening. You know, instead of looking at my phone or something, you know, I'll try and just go back to the present moment and just sit in consciousness.

And and try and just maximise the amount of time that I can spend in that in that kind of state of consciousness, I suppose.

So there was a time where I did banishings everyday.

That's when I was a lot more serious about the A A.

Yeah, I mean, being in the present moment is already a huge thing to kind of, not huge, but it's, you know, it does take practice.

Learning how to contact my holy guardian Angel like we spoke about earlier and that is really to do with the inner light that we have. You know, we're all sparks of the divine once you strip away.

All the other stuff, the mental body, the emotional body, the physical body, we are these sparks of divinity and.

That spark of divinity is something that.

You know, because because it's it comes from the divine. It needs nothing else.

So it's it's pure joy and it's pure bliss and.
